Everyone’s Got a Bottom is a story about Ben and his brother and sister learning and talking together about bodies. They talk about the different bodies and private parts of boys and girls, privacy and when you decide to no longer share baths or see friends/family naked. Throughout, the book emphasise that it is your job to look after your body and it’s your right to decide who touches your body and how – “From your head to your toes, you can say what goes”.  The book uses correct anatomical terms and emphasises that you can always talk about your body or any concerns you have with your parents or another trusted adult.

This is a fantastic tool for parents and carers to gently start a conversation with children about self protection. It’s about teaching children to keep safe in a style that is fun, positive and protective.
